I am amazed at the number of riders I see going down the highway without a helmet on and some ride with shorts and sandals! What the hell are these people thinking? I grew up on a dirt bike and flew off the thing every way possible and I can tell you this, if I hadn’t been wearing a helmet I know for a fact I wouldn’t be sitting here typing this message.
I have heard every excuse in the book about why people do not wear a helmet but the one that always makes me laugh is this “If I get hit by a car while I’m riding, that damn helmet isn’t going to help me any” You know, I think that guy’s right, he can’t be helped!
I think it’s a culture, another “cool”ism for the on road motorcyclist swagger…
What do you think the reason is?

Lol…I read you rant then look at the title photo………….you survived! Some simply haven’t matured yet and still believe it wont happen to them. The wife saw a rider today no helmet but what was most outrageous was 2 children 1 in front and 1 behind with no helmets. Did they have an option? I don’t want the government telling me I have to wear one……I’d prefer the option be mine to wear one..which I do.

I agree Mike, helmets should be worn. One excuse I’ve heard is, they cut down on visibility.That is the time you scan!
